On the Saône all locks are electric, some operated by lock-keepers (with whom you will have the opportunity to chat and who often sell products of the region) while others are automatic.
You will be given explanations by our technicians on how to operate the locks.
From Corre to Lyon the Saône Valley offers you 320 kilometres of waterways with only 25 locks.
On the Seille there are very few locks (4) and these are manually operated with or without lock-keepers, but please don't worry! Though two people are needed (the pilot and co-pilot) passing a lock is child’s play.
